"Ada girl," she said with a smile, smoothing her poisened blade over the jawline of the child. Pulling away and off Abri, she thought for a moment.
"Well . . . as you can imagine, I'm being followed. And, with you being the only one who knows who I am, I can't let the world know that I have been slaughtering so many. Luckialy I'm feeling . . . generous. How about we have a trade. I go with you to the castle, and you don;t tell anyone I killed that man." she stated, smileing.
The smile faded and she locked eyes with the girl again. "But be warned. If I hear anything about this that even makes me suspicious that you told ANYONE, then you will disapear in the middle of the night, wether I have the pleasure of slitting your throat or one of my warriors chooses one of their favorite killing techniques to use on you."
Amelia chuckled. She didn't care if people knew she was a princess, but if they knew that she has been slaughtering hundreds illegally than her reputation will be ruined.

Abri slowly got up, her hopes lifting as an offer was given to her. She could get her horse there and not get hurt by anyone, so it sounded good to her. Abri was slightly annoyed that Amelia kept on threatening her. Even if Abri told the king himself of her findings, he would not believe a nine year old girl, she would be seen as crazy and thrown out of the castle. The little blonde girl shook her head vigorously and said, "I thank you for you generosity, and accept your trade. Thank you so much." Abri was felling happier now and her old ball of energy was returning to her, as her shaking when away, excitement replaced it. She took a step towards the castle, then turned back to Amelia and promised, "I will never tell a soul." A small smile picked the corners of her lips up and soon they were off, walking towards the kingdom. The few people passing by didn't even give them a glance because it was ordinary to walk with a buddy on major roads. Only just over two hours until they reached the gates of Anthropesia.

Amelia followed the girl, tucking the bloody knife back into the folds of her dress. She got back into her normal persona again and walked elegantly and with grace, her chin held high and eyes open, examining the surroundings. She was nervous, but didn't let it show. Amelia wondered if these people would remember her from previous missions . . . She had seen the king and several others many times, and Amelia prayed that they did not recognize her.
"So why are you going to the castle?" the beautiful brunette inquired, her voice soft and pure, like flowing honey. She was such a good actor some wondered if she had a mental disorder that created multiple personalities, but she was as sane as your typical assassin princess could be.

Abri's smile got even bigger when she replied, "I have a horse there, and I can't wait to see her again. My parents are no longer with me, so I'm moving there to try and find a job so I can live. Also, I love being by the coast. It soothes me, doesn't it so that to you too?" Abri spoke as if she was talking to her best friend, her voice going up and down slightly as she asked the question. Since Amelia was not mad anymore, the little girl had relaxed and reverted back to her lively self. She continued on, with a small skip in her step, "Maybe you can come to the beach with me. I think you'd like it alot." She glanced warmly at Amelia

Amelia rolled her eyes at the girl's stupidity. " Actually, I find the beach quite . . . Annoying." she said, emotionless. Why people would ever want to live there was beyond her, but if they were stupid then that meant they would be easier to control.
"Horses are ok I guess." she said with a sigh. They really weren't all that interesting but . . . ok. "I mainly use my dragon, Allister for transportation now. He's faster and smarter than a horse. Plus it's always nice to have someone that you can talk to on long trips."
Amelia was growing bored of walking . . . "How much longer until we get there?" she moaned. Her tolerance was wearing thin.

Abri's beaming did not waver even if Amelia's answers were not as positive as she would of likes, but oh well. "That's too bad. I heard that royalty from Phostire can talk to dragons. Allister. What an unusual but unique name. You know, there are rumors of a white loner dragon that lives here. The king is not too happy about that, but he does not want to anger the dragons so he refuses to order a hunting party for the beast." Abri giggled at the childish moan from the princess. Sometimes people surprised you like that. "Oh, probably just under half an hour or so. Are you going to leave me once I reach the gates of the city?" she asked, sadness creeping into her voice at the end of the question. This was the first real friend she had made since she had left her waning village, and she did not want to say goodbye just yet.

"Possibly . . . but it depends on what you offer me to stay. My life is on the line." Amelia stated, looking at her feet. Her silk red dress was beautiful but awfly heavy, making her slightly slower than most people. With a sigh the princess tredged forward, picking up each leg with longing to go home.
"I just want my dragon to take me home . . . " she complained.
Wind blew brunette curls behind her and she walked with a natural power, studing all who passed her and Abri. She had allways stidied people, and in her mind decided the easiest ways to kill them. To most this would seem . . . creepy, but she has killer in her blood, and has trained vigorously for years untill the thoughts came naturaly. She really was a killing machine. So many hours of training to do nothing but slaughter. It pleased her, but the thought had never ocoured to her that she didn't fit in whith any of her teenage peers. She was just a socialy awkward pretty face to those not involved in the millitary that saw her normal, non acting persona.

Abri glided along the street. When you talk to someone and have a good time, time seems to speed up because the proud, magnificent walls that outlined the town and castle of Anthropesia were standing in font of them, less than 100 feet away. Wow, that is one huge city. Abri thought, getting even more exited. She would surely find a place to work here and her horse. Abri's mood was dampened just a little when she realized that she had nothing to give Amelia. "Well, I could give you the biggest and best hug ever. And, I'll even throw in a map of the roads so you can get back home. I like you, Amelia, I really do." Abri finished, now holding her thumbs up. After she put her hands back on the leather straps of her pack, she started humming a happy song that belonged to the people who sailed the sea. Those people always seemed to be happy, she thought.

"Abri, a hug from you would turn me away." she said coldly. "Although a map of all of the roads would do quite nicely." she stated, her meniacle mind at work. A map of all of the roads ment better knowlage of their enimies city . . . an advantage when it came to millitary tactics.
Upon seeing the city, Amelia stood taller, and walked with more grace power and beauty. She was the princess of Phostire, and there was no way she would let these Anthropesians see her as just another pesant. She flipped her hair back with a sweep of her hand and held her chin higher, careful not to expose the outline of a consealed and illegal knife in her dress. It would be so easy for her to get into trouble here . . . she had to be extra careful.
"So . . . will you be visiting the castle by any chance?" she inquired, anxious to step foot into what she has heard to be a quite magnificent infastructure. Amelia had heard that you could just walk in, even for nothing, but those again were just rumors.

Abri glanced over at Princess Amelia. She gave a small shrug and replied, " No. But I can take you there if you like, ma'am." She giggled at the ma'am part of the sentence. "Not everyone can walk right in, but I will see if I can get you in, even if its just the first few rooms. Also, you might just want to check out that beach. The lone white dragon might be there, and if you have a dragon your self, perhaps he could be of some use to you." Abri was impressed on how resourceful she though she was. Ideas were just popping out of her mouth and they weren't even that bad either.

The proud woman relaxed slightly. She gave a quick, subtle glance over her shoulder to confirm that no guards or soldiers were taking a defensive notice to Amelia's and Abri's presence. Facing forward once again she adjusted her dress slightly. It really was quite gorgeous. The red silk fabric fell downward in sort of tears that complimented and exhentuated the feminine figure on which it was ever so delicately draped, and each tear glistened with the sparkle of the occasional tiny diamond that was spread sparsely across the luxurious textile. It was always an effort made by the princess to not sully the fine gown. Not only would she be disappointed, but her father would certainly be displeasured. It was considered an "A" type ballroom dress -certainly suited for one of royal decent- and had no straps; a component which was considered quite scandalous for the time period.
The assassin thought briefly before speaking. "This . . . sight seeing with you doesn't sound too terrible . . . And the castle should be quite the scene." Clearing her throat and scanning her surroundings with icy blue, heartless eyes, she continued. "So yes. Seeing the castle and ocean sounds lovely."

Abri smiled again at the princess's response. She would have a friend for a little while longer, and there was something inside of her that just wanted to please this women, whither it be her royalty or just the way she was, Abri would never know. The young blonde looked down at her own clothes and her happy mood waned for a minute because she noticed that her tattered clothes looked like rags compared to Amelia's dress. But she dismissed the thoughts immediately. Abri was not going to judge anyone on how they dressed, because only money controlled that. Abri guided her way through the streets of the big city and in no time, they were at the front gates of the castle. The only reason Abri new her way here was because her parents had given her a map of the city and she had committed it to memory when she was very young. Her parents taught her that is was important to learn her way across the kingdom she was in. The girl in 'rags' took a deep breath and approached the gatehouse. A hoarse voice called from the top and called, "Who goes there?" Abri responded, " It is I, Abri, from the village Alderlan. I have some news from there." The man nodded and then shouted back, " Alright! You can go through, but you must leave the castle by nightfall. Who is that with you, Abri?"

Suddenly fear rattled through the body of the frail nineteen year old brunette as the hoarse voice of a middle-aged guard fell upon them. He was defenseless against her in hand to hand combat, but now the far from humble girl had to submit to this person of higher authority. This was NOT her land. If she was to ever enter these gates she would have to face her defenselessness; a task in which she had never had to nor needed to accomplish before.
She inhaled and dropped her shoulders slightly, then swept her long hair to her left shoulder. Clasping her hands before her as an innocent child she let a look of helplessness and weakness fall upon her features. The piercing pools of blue now seemed to invite others inward to her warm and welcoming persona, and this trained assassin instantly seemed to transform into an entirely new person.
However, she tensed slightly when he asked her name. It was now time for Amelia to speak up.
The strong willed woman cleared her throat and projected her beautiful voice upward toward the guard. "I am Madeline, the daughter of a wealthy merchant whom has allowed me to travel within your beautiful lands. I have heard great things about your castle and wish only today that my undeserving eyes be granted the opportunity to see it and all its splendor, even if just for a mere moment. Abri here has been kind enough to show me some of the magnificent sites in this kingdom, and I am quite pleased to be able to call her my friend."
The woman then placed her arm delicately around the girl and smiled toward the man, innocent eyes staring deep into his. She prayed they wouldn't remind him of her father's eyes.

The man looked unmoved. Abri saw this and under her breath said, " You sound like an outsider, and you sound not like a good one either." She saw that she would have to make 'Madeline' seem believable if they were to get in. Thinking quickly, Abri piped up, "Sir, you wouldn't believe the tales that are told to us children. They make this place seem magical and beautiful. . . And I also talked her into guiding me here because I have heard bad things happen to those who travel alone." The guard's expression shifted to the boring one in which she had first seen him in. "Alright, move along then," he finished. With the wave of his hand, he dismissed them. The castle courtyard looked spectacular with all of the different designs of flowers and the trees that doted the place. Abri gasped as she saw the open doors, inviting them into a large exquisite room filled with gold plated decorations and a mirror for the gusts to check themselves in. Another guard, once informed of Abri's mission, lead them through many hallways and into a bright room that faces the sea. There was a man in there with a feather and parchment in hand to write down the news from the village. After Abri had told the man what he wanted to hear, they were dismissed form the room, and Abri took the lead as a guide to show the princess the beach. Little did she know that the white dragon of almost legend was flying in a cloud not so far away and could see them perfectly and was heading their way.

She was in awe. Complete awe. And yet the woman managed to conceal it.
Her eyes studied anything and everything, and she soaked in it all like a partched spounge. Amelia made a mental note to kidnap one of the people incharge of interior and exterior decoration here . . . this place made Phostire look quite shabby in comparison.
Upon entering the princesses' eyes darted across the room, and she spotted a scaley beast strategically cocealed within the clouds overhead. Blue eye suspiciously narrowing, a scowel formed on her features. What was he doing here again? She was familiar with this beast . . . he had intruded upon the castle a few weeks ago from what the girl could remember, and had a seemingly uncourtly meeting with the two royal dragons. And now he was here. Back at his "home".
Amelia dismissed the sight and coninuied to follow Abri, anxious to see these shores she loved so much for whatever reason, and when they arrived she fully understood.
White sand beaches strected as far as the eye could see along the crystal blue water's edge, and the relaxing whisper of salted air rushing through the strands of the princess' richly colored hair was like music played by Angels. The assassin took a deep breath and smiled. This was truely magnificent.
