Abri was ataken back when she saw the beach. She had been to one before, but never one this perfect. The crashing of waves against the shore made her relax, and for a moment, forget all of her troubles. For the next few minutes, she wandered aimlessly up the beach, looking for pretty seashells. She didn't really care if Amelia was following her or not.
Raazuan eyed the little girl as she drew farther and farther away from the castle. He was drawn to the innocent little girl because he though that she could do him no harm, and he had not spoken to anyone in a long time. He tiled his wings ever so slightly and flew his way over to the girl. Upon landing, he gave a deep bow to show that he was not a danger to anyone.
Abri was well, in awe of the large beast that bowed before her. It made her feel important. And that maybe once in her life, she was not worthless and at the bottom of the pecking order. She weakly replied, "Hello, good sir." Her greeting was accompanied by a quick but meaningful courtesy.

Amelia was lost in thought and lost track of time until she realized Abri had wandered quite a ways down the shoreline. She looked at the small figure and rolled her eyes, but was taken aback by which her eyes showed her next.
That pesty white dragon had LANDED before the child! The princess went into protective mode and sprinted down the shore line, not muttering a word to the beast. When she was about fifteen feet away the woman slowed to a walk, her sides heaving. The icy eyes that only moments ago looked welcoming now were stern and housed power.
"What are you doing here?" she hissed toward Raazaun. Would Abri be able to understand her? Or was she speaking human tounge? Amelia had no idea. But this animal hadn't made the best first impression on her or her Allister. She couldn't help but smile slightly however. Seeing him reminded her of home.

Raazuan was surprised at the appearance of Princess Amelia. He had not had the best of times with the royal family or their dragons recently, and his wound still hurt, underneath his scales. He gave a deep sigh and his mood drooped. All he wanted to do was see and try to talk to this girl, but then the princess showed up and ruined all of it. Great, now I have to deal with her. He thought to himself bitterly. He hissed in dragon tongue back in a cool tone, "I was going to communicate with the child. I have not spoken to a human in some time, and she looked innocent enough. I did not come to stir up a fight nor anything that could hurt anybody. Forgive me, Princess, if I have upset you." Raazuan wan't into being so forgiving and docile, but this was no time to rock the boat.
Abri looked frustrated because she could not hear what was going on. She piped up, " Hey, 'Melinda', whats going on?" She hated to be left out of the conversation.

"Its Madeline" she told Abri.
She moved her eyes back on the winged beast. "And how exactly do you plan to communicate? She is not of Phostire royalty."
The girl heaved a sigh and slouched her shoulders slightly. The fear of guards or royalty happening to see her have a discussion with the dragon evaded her at the moment. She was just . . . confused. However, Amelia felt the need to ease the tention between the two of them.
"I appoligize for being rash." she stated bluntly. "I must admit, it is nice seeing you here after being away for so long. Is there any news I've missed out on, perhaps?" the assassin inquired. She had been "out of loop" for so long that for all she knows her father could've found another wife or wife-like thing. You never know what could happen when you're gone.

Raazuan sniffed at her question. "I took you for being smart, Amelia. There are more ways to speak to people than by words. How about body language?" He inquired to Amelia. Sometimes humans could be so one minded. He decided to prove his point by tilting his head to the side and puffing some hot hair out of his nostrils and growling a soft growl.
Abri studied the dragon with growing curiosity and interpreted what he was trying to say since he couldn't talk to her. She could tell his attention was turned to her, and not the assassin in the red dress and it made her feel special once again. She smiled at the white dragon and put two thumbs up, then motioned over to Malinda and scowled. She hoped the dragon could understand that.
Raazuan started laughing at the blonde's response at the question he had asked. She was a clever little one, and he liked the part about Amelia very much. For a moment he returned his gaze back to the one who could speak to him. is voice had a little bit of sadness to it as he said, " I know nothing of what is happening in Phostire. It was understood that when I left, I would not return so I could not carry any valuable information with me. I do know of the Griffin movement though."

She rolled her eyes at the two's interactions, but decided it was in her best interest to ignore them. However, the conversation was quickly brought back to her.
"I will discuss with my father regarding your eligibility to return. What of the griffons do you know?"
She was now in yet another position of weakness. Royalty was irrelevant when talking with this creature, and she had an obligation to be . . . nice, no matter how painful.
"And please be aware," she added. "That whatever TRUE information you tell me will levy the King's decision to allow you to return. And, depending on what you tell us, you can be asured that your life will be made easier during whatever time you choose to stay in our lush lands."
With that she turned to Abri with a somewhat concerned look. "Can anyone see us communicating with a dragon here, particularly me talking with it? You should be aware that this is a dead give away of my Phositre royal lineage."
Had she already told the child she was the bastard, secret daughter of the king of Phostire? Eh, the brunette couldn't recall. But it didn't matter now.

Raazuan shook his head as he heard the brunette speak. All she wanted was information out of him, and he was not planning on spilling all of his secrets to her. "You miss understand me, Amelia. I do not ask to return to the lands I have left. And if I come back, it will be the dragons who will let me in or keep me out, not humans. Remember that."
Abri looked around with caution. There seemed to be no one watching, but she missed looking behind the white dragon. A group of guards were heading their way, and they didn't look too happy about it. Abri simply said, "I can see no one Princess Amelia." She whispered the last part so no one would hear.

"The dragons and humans are under a mutual bond. They will obey if we persuade them and offer something in return. Your breatheren and I are close, and I can assure you that we will welcome you as royalty assuming that what you tell us has any level of significance. I would like to continue this discussion over external affairs near the outskirts of my kingdom with Allister, the King, and his dragon as well. And I will try my best to control our mean 'lizards'," the princess added with a faint smile.
Turning to Abri, her smirk faded. A simple "Good" was all that escaped the feminine, rosey lips of the royal love-child. She could feel nerves beginning to build within her and a fait sense of dread began to creep across her bones. Something was off, but what would happen was beyond her control.
"Something's not right . . . " the lady muttered in dragon tongue, eyes and facial features filling with unease. Nimble fingers ran through her beautiful, richly colored hair which was then carelessly tossed behind her, and the assassin delicately made small, subtle adjustments to the elegant wardrobe that lay upon her beautiful figure.
" . . . are you sure we're alone?" Amelia added, eyes peering at Raazuan even though the comment was directed toward the peasant.

Raazuan had lost his patience with the newly appointed princess. He spat to her, "You know nothing of our kind child! You might be able to speak to us, but you do not control us nor contain us nor decide what we think! Dragons are not some stupid dog for you to talk down to or control. We have a treaty, not an enslavement. You have no right to talk the way you do, and if I had an ounce of brain, I would not say anything more." By the end, his fiery anger had subsided and he was looking at the princess with dislike as if she was a piece of rotting meat. His great white wings unfolded and he moved the air around to take off. Within a second, he was 20 feet up in the air.
Abri could tell that the conversation had turned rotten as Princess Amelia started to talk sourly to the great white beast. She felt bad for him, because the princess was unforgiving and didn't treat everyone the best way. An uncomfortable feeling made her way into her gut as she listened to the conversation. This is not a safe place for me anymore! Her gut told her, and trusting her gut, she sprinted forward, around the dragon (who was so focused on Amelia, that he didn't notice) and right into a patrol of guards. Abri could hide her surprise, and a few tears slipped down her face before she could realize what was going on. The guards didn't look very happy.

Amelia looked at the beast with distaste as he lifted himself off the ground and Abri darted around him. Once the dragon however was in the air and no longer any of her concern, the princess noticed a small group of guards whom had managed to sneak upon them. Instinctively the very alluring and attractive woman corrected her stature and fixed her hair, attempting to put on the best show for the group of men who looked to be between the ages of fifteen to thirty-five.
"Hello . . ." the she stated cooly with a faint smile, attempting to act somewhat refined and calm in the nerve racking situation. Her eyes darted to the blonde peasant briefly and a trace of concern fell upon her angelic features. Traces of tears were visible on the girl's cheeks.
Would these guards arrest the two for conversing with a dragon? Amelia was frightful that she might have ended Abri's welcomed stay in Anthropseia . . . and if that was the case than the princess would allow her to live in Phostire and possible convince her father to let her stay in the castle, at least until she could make it on her own in the city. Hopefully it wouldn't come to that.

"Identify yourselves! The lone white dragon doesn't talk to people, so why was he talking to you guys? And don't lie to me! We are taking you to the castle for questioning. Ismael, take the little one." The guards in the front ordered. He didn't like dragons, and he especially didn't like people that were associated with them. The men grunted at the orders and they started to pat the women down in search for weapons.
Abri let the guards pat her down, and take hold of her hands, but she would not let what was left of her parents be taken away from her. Crying out, she protested, "Thats my bag! Give it back right now!" Her voice quavered and tears threatened to fall again. "Shut up! You will get you bag after we take a look at everything thats in it," one of the guards reassured her. Taking a deep breath, Abri tried to calm herself, but failed.

She kept a straight face, her features unrevealing to the men whom seemed to be angered.
"Take me where you wish," she muttered, tone even. The woman had no doubt that she could evade this situation, but the first step of getting away was keeping your wits about you.
Turning her focus to Abri, the princess frowned. "Do you imbeciles really believe a child would carry weapons that would be any sort of threat to grown, armed and trained men?" she hissed, anger becoming aroused within her. Abri was a good girl, and Amelia had begun have respect for her, and those whom she respected she defended. The icy-blue eyes that were the main characteristic of her father lit up and rage began to override her common sense.
"I will go to your petty castle and willingly be interrogated. But you will not touch your filthy paws upon our skin," she added, motioning toward Abri. Personal space was something these guards needed to understand, especially the personal space of women.

Abri looked over at the Princess and smiled. This was the very first time someone had stood up for her, and she couldn't believe it was Amelia. She wanted to give her a high five, smile, and say, "Thanks!" but her common sense overrode her wild ideas. A big grin broke across her face and she met eyes with Amelia and she silently said thank you.
The head guard didn't like being told what to do, even if the women was right. He simply grunted in reply, "You never know what children are used for these days. None of them are innocent. Lucky for you, girl, there is nothing that suspicious in the bag." He shoved it back into the little girl's arms. The soft flickering orange flame dimly lit the cold, stone hallway that had cells branching off of it. Abri shivered in fear

The two were led down a narrow and dimly lit hall with gloomly preserved cells lining its walls.
"A dungeon doesn't seem like the best place to store people whom have not been convicted of a crime for interregation," she added blunty. These sort of affairs we only normal procedure to the assassin, and it was obvious that they were green at this line of the trade.
The woman sighed and smoothed her dress, letting her nimble fingers slide over her concealed, poisined dagger. She would use it today. The question was when.
Now would be stupid. There were too many guards. Armed guards. It would need to be later. But for now, she would need to get the men comfortable in her presence.
"So," she asked, voice quite charming. "What might be the names of the men in my presence?"

A cry of shock escaped Abri's lisps as she got pushed into the cell so hard that she fell to her knees. The door to the cell squeaked and slammed shut, the loud sounds bounced off of the walls, making an echoing effect. Without the sun's warming rays on her skin, the cold started to seep its way into her skin and started to make her feel like ice. The sudden change in environments had teeth chattering. "M-Mel-linda, a-are you c-c-cold?" Abri chattered. She did not like to be the only one freezing her butt off while the guards took their time getting the questioner.
The patrol of guards looked uneasily at one another as the red dressed lady asked for their names. One of them shrugged and told the stunning lady his name, but the one who was the leaser of the group declared, "You need not know our names. What use would they be to you? We have work to do , so, enjoy your stay." He smiled nastily and turned away without another word.
