Crunch, crunch, crunch. The pale green grass swayed in the gentle breeze that glided over the meadow. The little girl was walking with a relaxed pace through it. On the horizon, a castle was emerging, and a large town surrounding it. She exhaled deeply, thinking, well, here we go. With the sun rising behind her, she headed out of the meadow and onto a winding dirt road. The road that lead to the Castle of Anthropesia.

Amelia quickly waded through tall and crunchy grass, her pupils dialated and heart beating so fast it felt like it would come out of her chest. She had just finished slitting the throat of one of her many victims, but sadley this mission hadn't done as smoothly as the Princess would've wished. She had killed than man with ease and power, but the thud of his body hitting the ground had made gruards starding just outside the building go on alert. Before she knew it they had almost seen her . . . luckaliy she managed to get aaway before being seen. And now here she was. Running . . . well sprinting through the tall grasses going who knows where, her life on the line. She had just commited another major crime and now was on the run . . . again.
Amleia had to admit, the time after the killing was what she dipised the most. She was always on the edge, and stress was so prominant in the girl anyone could tell that she was "out of wack" unless she was trying to act.
Wind blew her brunette curls behind her, her red dress flowing gracefully in the wind as she made her escape. However, her pace slowed as another figure was spotted ahead. Mood sifting to defensive, the pretty girl slowed to a walk with a smile on her face, hand placed on the fold of her dress containing her poinsened knife. Only one cut from that baby would kill you. Hopefully she wouldn't have to use it on the small girl.
"Hello . . . " she said with power, strutting toward the kid. "Do you by any chance know the direction I'm going in?" Amelia stated, slightly out of breath, sweat beaded on her forehead.

Abri could hear the sound of someone running towards her, and she didn't like it. Her body started to tense up because she knew what some people did to little girls wondering the streets alone. With another huff of air, she squared her small shoulders and thought that confidence was the way to win this upcoming encounter.
Abri bit her lip and put her mind to work. She had a good photographic memory, and she was putting this face to it. Her confidence had gone as soon as the odd lady spoke. Abri was beack to her scared self again and she shakily answered, " Uhh, well ahead of you is the castle of Anthropesia, and this road leads there." Abri might not know much, but she made the assumption that this person was not from around here, and that she seemed very powerful. The nine year old was not too happy, and she wished for her small, black horse, but it was with some man who had promised that he would hold her for Abri until she could get enough money to feed it. "Where are you from, miss?" she asked, using her manners wisely.

"S$*t . . . " Amelia mumbled, barley audible when she was told she was heading for the castle. God . . . this was her worst mission by far. The brunette rolled her eyes when she realized the castle was in sight. The guards were chasing her to the ocean where she would be trapped, great.
"Where am I from?" she said, voice beginning to shake under pressure. "I am . . . from . . . Xious. The Rouges that Anthropesia is allied with? Its my first time here, and I'm a little . . . lost."
Yeah . . .that story would work. Hopefully this girl wasn't smart. Dreading that the kid wouldn't recognize her and her father's similar appearances, she balled her fits out of nervousness. Everyone knew what the Kings looked like, weather they were leading their kingdom or not. It was just common knowledge.

Out of habit, she ran her hand through her blonde hair and pushed it behind her ear. She didn't know that her kingdom was being allied with rouges, but then again, she was just a little girl and not a lot of important information got to her. But she did pick up on how that 'fact' was a question as if the red dressed lady was doubting herself. Any trust that Abri would of had in her vanished and her face saddened. "Well, I can show you around if you go to the castle with me. It is dangerous for me to go alone, and since you are tall and nice, then I nothing bad will happen to us. We have to stick together." Her voice was as sweet as it could be, and her face molded into the cute little please face that all little children can do. Abri needed someone to travel with, and even though she might not like the odd lady, it was better than nothing.

She sneered, icy blue eyes showing dread.
"As tempting as that sounds . . . no thanks. I'm . . . sort of busy." she said, eyes flickering in all directions, montering any movement. "You'll be fine. Toughen up. I was entering advanced levels of assassin and military training while I was your age. And now I am one of the most powerful people in the worl-" she stated, catching her tounge. Her "humbleness" just blew her cover. Great.
Icy blue eyes studied her surrounding breifly before she removed her secret and illeagal dagger from her dress. "Look, I just need directions to Enrotium," she stated, saying the kingdoms name with a bitter tone to it. God she hated them. "Can you help me with that, pesant girl?"
Amelia looked over her shoulder, not realizing that the dagger she had removed from her dress was still dripping red. This mission was doing horribly so far, no thanks to the Royal Assassin.

Abri frowned as their conversation went on. Her mind was throwing up red flags and screaming that this was not a nice person. the more she listened, the more dots were connected in her head until she came out with the thoughts that this lady was more than what she seemed. It was obvious that she was not from this country and that she was not from the neighboring country, so she must be from Phostire. Also, since she called her peasant, she had to have a high rank. The Duchesses and Ladies of this land did usually call her a child of peasant, but they would not try to pretend that they were something else. Abri opened her mouth and spoke, " If you are so busy miss, then why don't I call the guards to come and put you back where you belong. I do not like you, and I don't like that you are not of this kingdom. All it will take is one scream from me until the whole world will know that you are an assassin. So, Lady, will you take me to the castle, or shall I scream now?" Her face had a mixed emotions on it. It held some of sadness, but her eyes were sparking and she was smiling because she had turned the situation to her benefit. With her arms crossed, she got braced herself to scream as loud as possible.

Amelia craked a wicked smile. With sprakleing intrest in her eyes she released a blood curdleing kackle that would strike the fear of god into anyone who heard it.
"You might schreech once, child, but it will be your last," she said with an unconcerned demonic laugh. She smiled. "Just you might only need to scream once, I . . . " she said, stepping closer to the girl, their eyes locked. "Only need to cut you once. Even the smallest. And then you will simply die." she said with a laugh.

The little blonde headed girl cringed as the threats came out of the lady's mouth. All her confidence had slowly gone away until Amelia had finished speaking. With her shoulders hunched, she shakily replied back, "And if I die, how will you know where to go to get out of this kingdom?" If information was what she had to give her to keep herself alive, then that is what would happen. Her mind went to work to try and find someway to escape the threats that the crazy assassin had thrown at her. Come on! There has to be someway! she thought, but her young mind could not conjure up any plan that would help her. Nervously, she took a step back, not liking the close distance between the two of them.

"I'm sure I'll find my way," she stated cooly "It's not like I don't have a dragon to come after me if I get too lost," she stated, pulling the dagger upward and exaniming its deadly beauty.
She sighed, and examined her surroundings once more. "You look like an Anthropesian." she said cooly. "So frail, so . . . unclever." she stated with a laugh. "You would be useless to my kingdom when it comes to defense."
Amelia stepped forward toward the girl again. "What is your name, child? I am prin-" she caught her self. "Well, just call me Amelia."

Abri just strared coldly back at the person who called herself Amelia. She was upset at how the deadly lady was remarking about the people of her kingdom, and herself. She almost spat back, "Of course I'm an Anthropesian. You are in Anthropesia, so you think that you might find a couple people from here. Don't be so reckless, I'm not an assassin so naturally, I would not be as tough as an ox. Let's see how useless I am when I have a bow and arrow." She huffed after her come back to Amelia. She did not like being mean to people, but insulting the very kingdom she was standing in and the person she was talking to was just rude. Abri ran a hand through her fine, blonde hair and recrossed her arms. With her voice full of determination and pride, she stated simply, "I'm Abri." And her favorite smile rose back on her face once again.

Amelia sneered as the child made her rude remarks. Instinctivly the assassin lunged for her, wrapping a powerful hand around the grils throat.
"Sometimes . . . " she whispered hatefully, nose to nose with the child. "I wish my knife wasn't poisened so I could leave a mark on people . . . give you a scar you'll never forget. Have you been taught no manners? Royalty is not spoken to in such a way."
Amelia pushed the girl away, hard enough to push her to the ground with ease, and released the grip to her neck. Her strong, delicate fingers would probably leave a red mark on the girl's neck for a day or so, and the assassin could see some dried blood from her pervious kill on Abris neck.
With a tone of urgancy, shouted. "I have NO time for this!" Turning to the girl, she sneered, "You are coming with me."

Abri held her wail as she got pushed to the ground. A small tear came to her eyes, but she dismissed it because she did not want to cry in front of this crazy women. As she got to her feet, she scowled at Amelia, channeling all of her anger at the princess. She did not like the sound in her voice when she was told to follow her. Abri took two big (for her) steps towards the castle and wiped some dirt off of her face. "No. I will not follow you. You push me down for not treating you as you should be treated, but you have not even told me that you are royalty and look around, princess, this is not your country. You are trespassing. " Abri did not think of the consequences her lack of mind and manners would cause because at the moment, she was focused on breaking that wall of power she had built for herself. The wind blew gently, pushing Abri's pale blonde locks in front of her face, and Amelia's behind her.

Amelia scowled. "Again with the rude behavior," she stated, trying to cool her temper. It didn't work. With one graceful/terrifing motion Amelia had Abri on the ground pinned with the poisened dagger to her throat.
"Let me get this straight for your simple Anthropesia mind . . . " she whispered. "You do what I say or DIE. Ok? All you need is one, little, small, microspcopic cut, and you DIE. Now, look at how close the dagger is to your neck. If I happen to "accidently" say . . . jab it into your major aretery, you will be dead from the poison before you even bleed out. It's quite beautiful, isn't it?"
With a chuckle, she locked her icy blue eyes with Abri's. "Now, you won't give a poor little ol' princess any trouble, will you?" she stated softly, a motherly smile falling upon Amelia's face. She was a great actor, but only when she wanted to be. "I came here to kill a mean old man, not an innocent child. My father would be disappointed I had to exert so much energy on a petty little mission, and you don't want to dissapoint the most powerful man in the world." she stated, smirking. This child had a lot to learn.

With great effort Abri exhaled a deep breathe and let her temper drain out of her. It was clear to her that this was a battle she could not win and that no manners would get her no where. She was shaking a little as the intensity of the threats hit her. Amelia really would kill her if Abri didn't do as she was told. The fear of loosing her life made her ice cold in fear and scared. Abri numbly shook her head, still keeping eye contact with Amelia's icy blue eyes. They seemed to pierce her soul, and Abri was feeling more hopeless and insecure by the second. Abri replied with her eyes on the sky, and her voice soaked with defeat, "No, Princess Amelia, I would loathe to disappoint you or your father. What do you ask of me?" She tried to be as nice as a nine year old would know how, and she was hoping that Amelia would stop being mad because Abri suspected that the more mad she got, the closer she was to death.
